Sorry it has been so long since the last blog; I'm finding it more & more difficult to share these days. I'm blogging tonight for a particular prayer request. Joel has been in the hospital since last Saturday due to a neutropenic fever. (fever from an infection & no white blood cells/immune system) Praise God the fever has been gone for a couple of days now. Over the course of the week a particular infection has tested positive twice but because the cultures were processed in two different hospitals, they are reprocessing the culture done elsewhere here at St Lukes just to verify the results. If the test comes in negative, then Joel will get to go home VERY SOON!!! (needless to say he is not a happy camper having been here as long as he has). If the test is positive, then it is a new ballgame because this particular infection affects the heart valve.
Please join me in prayer that it will be God's will that the results from the test are negative tomorrow for this particular infection.
Matthew 18:19-20 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
Thank you for your prayers,
Kim
